About Garage Epoxy Guide — Free Garage Floor Calculator & Guides
An independent resource built to help DIYers plan garage floor epoxy projects with accurate material estimates and honest, unbiased guidance.
What We Do
Garage Epoxy Guide is a free, independent resource for homeowners planning garage floor coating projects. Our flagship tool is the epoxy floor calculator, which estimates material quantities for epoxy, polycuramine, polyaspartic, and other garage floor coating systems based on your specific garage dimensions and project requirements. We also publish in-depth guides covering surface preparation, product comparisons, cost breakdowns, and troubleshooting to help you make informed decisions.
Why We Built This
If you've ever tried to figure out how much epoxy to buy for your garage, you know the frustration. Manufacturer labels list coverage rates in square feet per gallon, but they don't account for your specific garage dimensions, the number of coats you need, primer requirements, or how much decorative flake to order. You end up either buying too little (and running out mid-project with half the floor coated) or too much (and wasting money on material that hardens in the can).
We built the Garage Epoxy Guide calculator to solve that problem. Enter your garage dimensions, choose your coating system, and get a clear material list with quantities. No guesswork, no running back to the store mid-project.
Our Approach
No product bias. We don't manufacture or sell epoxy, coatings, or any physical products. Our calculator works with any brand and any coating system. When we recommend specific products in our guides, those recommendations are based on published performance data, user reviews, and industry reputation — not paid placements.
No contractor upsells. We're not a lead generation site for flooring contractors. We don't collect your contact information to sell to installers. Our guides cover both DIY and professional options honestly, including when DIY is the right choice and when hiring a pro makes more sense.
Accuracy first. Our calculator uses manufacturer-published coverage rates and standard industry waste factors. We clearly explain the assumptions behind every estimate so you can adjust based on your specific conditions. We'd rather you buy slightly more material than you need (10-15% buffer) than run short during application.
